Event detail:

Climate change is severely impacting rural areas due to human activities like deforestation and extensive livestock farming, which contributes 23% of global agricultural emissions. Urgent action is needed to transition to sustainable livestock systems that mitigate climate change while ensuring food security and animal welfare. A diploma focused on sustainable livestock practices can equip producers and extension workers with the knowledge and skills to adopt climate-resilient and environmentally friendly techniques like silvopastoral systems. By fostering collaboration between stakeholders, this diploma can contribute to rural development and meet international sustainability goals.
